Our little friend Abby celebrated her 3rd birthday party today. Sarah Jane was the prettiest little ribbon-spinning ballerina ever! She had so much fun with those things, even though she has one here that she never even touches. (notice the sparkly tennis shoes... they're awesome!)
So Jay, tell me your thoughts having completed your first month of P365. Is is harder/easier than you thought it would be? Does it haunt you knowing you MUST post photos? I'm curious because I, too, have considered a similar self-assignment. -D2
ReplyDeleteDan: Well, I have to admit that I thought that it would be hard and become more of a chore than a hobby--- But it didn't. I really enjoyed it.. there were days that I completely forgot about it and late into the afternoon I would think to myself... I HAVE TO TAKE A PICTURE TODAY! --- but something always presented itself..
ReplyDeleteAdmittedly, the hardest part was reminding myself to set down a actually post them! I highly recomend this project... I actually have another friend that started this since I have. Her name is Stephanie and she has a newborn... her concept was to take a picture of her new daughter everyday to document how much she grows in a year. I thought that was a very cool concept. You can see that at addison365.blogspot.com
Anyway, to answer your question... It's easier than I thought it would be and It doesn't haunt me. On days where it's the front of my mind, actually end up with lots of pictures and have a hard time choosing just one! :)
I think that you should def. jump on the bandwagon --- I would follow, I LOVE your pictures!
sit down and post them... not "set" down. oops.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the thoughtful update, Jay. I may jump on the bandwagon at some point. Your project has been an inspiration. I'll also check out your friend. You're doin' a great job.
ReplyDeleteJay, there is a book by Jim Brandenburg called, "Chased by the Light". If you ever see it, give it a look. Brandenburg allowed himself to shoot only one frame per day for 90 days. He gave up great shots knowing he had only one click. Regardless, he came up with an amazing collection of 90 photos. He is a National Geographic photographer...mostly landscapes and nature.
