All of these are blankets are blankets that my mother made for me stitch by stitch. The one on the left has actual pictures of my little one printed onto fabric then made into a quilt... along with the pictures, there are various descriptive words like "dream" laugh" "play" or "love" --- 2nd from the left is a super-huge, very comfy blanket that I LOVE. Every time I curl up in it I think about how much love went into making it. The 2 pink ones were technically made for SJ, but I love them all the same and one day she will too. The last one was an afghan that I got my senior year of high school and didn't appreciate it nearly as much as I should have... now I get it. I wouldn't trade any of these for anything.

  1. Wow these are so cool. I'm sure you're going to pass them on and hope they keep getting passed on. Wow, just priceless.

  2. I love hand-made gifts. There is nothing better. Now that the economy is in the tank, I'm hoping a positive attribute is that we go back to making gifts with our own hands. Nothing your Mother could have purchased as a gift would ever measure up to these treasures.
